“My mother and the cat” is a collection of affectionate cameos and anecdotes that explore Jeltje Fanoy’s relationship with her mother, written over many years and within a multitude of contexts. They form part of her lifelong commitment to try to understand the enigma enshrouding her mother who thought she might have been suffering from Autism. Some of the poems appear as music and poetry collaborations by “jeltje and friends” on the CD “in the foreground” (ftloose productions, 2021)
